Watching for Woodcocks

Watching for Woodcocks takes place at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 1 in Kensington Metropark.

Woodcocks are rarely-seen birds that perform impressive courtship flights in spring at dusk. The group will attempt to locate courting males within Kensington Metropark by listening for their antics.  There is even a chance to view the ritual.

Cost is $3 per person in addition to the $5 park entrance fee (or possession of an annual Metroparks sticker).
