The public is invited to one of the area’s most entertaining
-- and family friendly -- annual Halloween events. On October 5th, Sokol Camp in
Green Oak Charter Township will welcome the public to its annual Haunted Walk
and Haunted Hayride.
Featuring a wide range of events for all ages, the event
features fun family activities as well as a lighted, lakeside “Haunted Walk”
with trick-or-treating stations along a
Halloween-themed pathway. Visitors enjoy
the popular Haunted Hayride, live music, games and an indoor snack bar.
Lindsay Cortis, owner of Bella Scappare and one of this
year’s volunteer organizers, says, “Although
the Haunted Walk has been a tradition at Sokol Camp for over two decades, it is
one of the best kept secrets in the Brighton-South Lyon area. Once visitors attend this event for the first
time, it tends to become a favorite part of their annual Halloween traditions. It's the perfect way to kick off the fall
season with family, friends, and the community.”
