Hippos, Trees and a Wee Little Bunny Arrive at Brighton Library

Here's a look at three new books for children available now at the :

• Elmer and the Hippos by David McKee. The elephants aren’t happy. The hippos have come to live in their river because their own has dried up. When the elephants complain to Elmer that the river is overcrowded, Elmer sets off to see what he can do. He soon discovers that the problem can easily be solved but only if the hippos and the elephants work together.
• Who Will Plant a Tree? by Jerry Pallotta. A squirrel buries an acorn. A dolphin pushes a coconut into an ocean current. A camel chewing a date spits out the seed. What do they all have in common? Each one, in its own way, has helped to plant a tree. In myriad ways and diverse environments, Mother Nature is given a hand in dispersing seeds that eventually grow into trees.
• Wee Little Bunny by Lauren Thompson. This wee little bunny is the busiest bunny in the whole meadow. He wants to do everything, chase everything, and play with everything, all at once! But at the end of the day, his mama is the one who can get him to stay in one place long enough to share his busy little tales.
