Toss on your jeans, boots and cowboy hats for a kickin’ evening at Denim & Diamonds, LACASA Center’s fall fundraising event.
The community is being challenged by two private foundations to help LACASA exceed its fundraising goal for this event. All ticket sales and event spending by guests will be matched and will earn the nonprofit $50K in match-grant funding.
This charity party is set for Saturday, Sept. 13, from 6 - 10 p.m. at the scenic Haggerty-Bearden Ranch in Howell.

Cowboys and cowgirls will enjoy a night of Wild West gambling, down-home cooking, live music, line-dancing, acrobatic horse shows, shopping at the general store, and hanging out at the saloons or cigar bar.
A gourmet s’mores bar will be set up by the bonfire and the evening will conclude with a fireworks display of grand-finale proportions.

Dazzling raffle prizes include diamond jewelry and gift baskets worth hundreds of dollars.
The event emcee is Renee Chodkowski, the Great Foodini, who is well-known on the local and national scenes. Her radio show airs every Friday at 8:15 a.m. on WHMI 93.5FM.
Music is provided by Kari Holmes and The Modern Day Drifters, a high energy country-rock band that belts out spirited tunes all night long.
New guests to Denim & Diamonds, or regular attendees who bring new guests, will be entered in special Guest Star and Bring a Guest Star raffles.
A whole heap of fun is planned throughout the night. Come on out and kick up your heels at this smokin’ charity event.
Denim & Diamonds proceeds help abused children and victims of interpersonal violence from the community. All contributions stay local.
