LAHRA’s HR Networking Roundtables are a unique forum for members to share, learn and develop strategies for dealing with challenges facing Human Resource professionals. Roundtable #1: Risk Management
Jeff Mattes, Chairman/CEO and Mike Luzi, Executive Vice President / Director of Three Sixty Safety, will facilitate the process of selecting the right safety management metrics roundtable. During this roundtable, participants will discuss what safety metrics their organization tracks and their use in the organization. We will also discuss using a mix of KPI’s, choosing the right performance indicators – process or outcome metrics, complications and considerations, balance scorecard metrics, measuring employee behaviors with a safety perception survey, quality satisfaction indexes and using a mix of safety metrics is the formula for success.

Roundtable #2: Ask the Lawyer-Legal Updates
Terry W. Bonnette, Partner of Nemeth Burwell, P.C., will facilitate the Legal Updates table. During this roundtable, participants will discuss pressing legal topics in the HR world. Please come prepared with questions, anecdotes and concerns as ideally the discussion will be participant driven.
Roundtable #3: Coaching and Performance Reviews
Mike Kestly, Owner of Kestly Development, will lead this lively discussion topic on Employee Coaching. Coaching should start from the top down and be an ongoing, monthly process. Statistics have shown that this type of coaching increases retention, engagement and can even eliminate the dreaded annual performance review. Find out what others are doing and how you can develop a program to move to a coaching-based organization and/or enhance your current program.
Roundtable#4: HR Metrics-You Can’t Measure It If You Don’t Know It!
Suzanne O’Connor, Director of Staffing for Action Associates and Kelly Blair, HR Manager for Work Skills Corporation (WSC) will team facilitate the HR Metrics roundtable. During this roundtable, participants will discuss what HR metrics their organization tracks and their use in the organization. They will also discuss whether the type of metrics used in organizations should vary by industry and company type or if there are universal metrics that all organizations should track.
