Michigan Philharmonic Orchestra adds special performance of popular "Holiday Pops" concert

Saturday – December 13, 2014 - Brighton, Mich. (Brighton Center for the Performing Arts, 8:00 p.m.): “Holiday Pops” – Join us again for our festive, family-friendly yuletide pops concert, “Holiday Pops with The Phil,” featuring traditional Christmas carols and Festive Sounds of Hanukah, along with holiday pops favorites How the Grinch Stole Christmas, The Christmas Song, and Rock the Bells. We are honored to feature the Philharmonic’s own principal percussionist, Kristen Tait, on a Bach concerto for solo xylophone and Prokofiev’s “Troika.” Rounding out this special wintry musical banquet will be a classic Christmas sing-along with old-time songs and carols, and a joyous rendition of Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus.
