MOD PIZZA TO OPEN FIFTH MICHIGAN LOCATION THIS YEAR IN BRIGHTON

Company to celebrate grand opening with local "Pay What You Want" fundraiser

TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR), a Michigan-based family-owned restaurant group with an expansive portfolio of casual, quick service and family dining restaurants throughout the state, is slated to open its fifth MOD Pizza location this year in Brighton on Tuesday, December 22. As part of the grand opening, MOD Pizza will host a fundraiser supporting the Brighton School District’s “Brighton Boutique” organization. TSFR Brand Leader of MOD Pizza Jake Schostak made the announcement.

In celebration of the brand’s newest restaurant, TSFR and MOD Pizza will host an all-day “Pay What You Want” fundraiser starting at 11 a.m. and running through dinner service at its Brighton restaurant, located at 8605 W. Grand River. During the “Pay What You Want” day, guests will be able to pay an amount of their choosing for their meal, with all proceeds benefiting the Brighton Boutique organization, which helps provide classroom grants and offers assistance to students in need throughout the community. In addition to the fundraiser, MOD Pizza will be hosting raffles throughout the day with prizes to include MOD Pizza merchandise and a chance to win a free pizza per week for a year.

“It has been a milestone year for TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants and our MOD Pizza restaurants, and we look forward to closing out the year on yet another positive note with the grand opening of our Brighton location,” said Schostak. “With each grand opening this year, we have left a positive and lasting impact on the local community, raising more than $15,000 and counting for local charities in the communities we serve, and we are excited to replicate that in Brighton. We invite all to stop out and learn more about MOD Pizza, while supporting a well deserving cause.”

Based in Seattle, MOD’s individual artisan-style pizzas are made on demand, using fresh-pressed dough and signature sauces, including MOD red sauce and MOD white sauce. As the company that launched the fast-casual pizza niche, guests can create their own pizzas and salads, using any combination of more than 30 fresh-featured toppings, or they can choose from a menu of MOD classics. Each pizza is hand-cooked in an 800 degree oven in five minutes or less and salads are hand-tossed in front of the customer. MOD also serves local draft beers, wine, handspun milkshakes, and house-made lemonades and iced teas.

In 2014, TSFR announced plans to bring 25 MOD Pizza restaurants to Michigan during the next five years. As part of TSFR’s aggressive growth plans for the brand, TSFR has already opened a total of five location in six months, creating 150 jobs for local residents.
