Nominate Mom for Brighton Prize Package

Entries are pouring in for Facebook contest for Mother’s Day. When someone “likes” Cooper & Binkley Jewelers, they are then able to post a story about why their mom deserves a “Night on the Town.” 

One lucky mom will win an amazing package, largely donated by local Brighton businesses. The winner will receive two tickets to see Chicago at the Fisher Theater on May 19, an elegant four-course dinner and drinks for two at , six hours of limousine service provided by Ultimate Limousine, and new outfit including clothing from ($200 value) and ($200 value), a day of pampering at ($200 value) and a new piece of jewelry from Cooper & Binkley ($200 value).  

The total package is valued over $1,500. Entries will be accepted on Cooper & Binkley Jewelers’ Facebook page until midnight on Mother’s Day.

Dozens of stories have already been posted from throughout Livingston County, most describing moms, grandmothers and daughters who take care of others before themselves.

"Although she may be tired, and want to collapse into bed she still goes on with her day knowing anything will come the next," wrote Brighton High School student Bryanna Gardiner. "She is a full time mother, student, and employee, and she is great at doing it all."

Barb Binkley, co-owner of the long-time Brighton jeweler, said she and other judges will pick the most compelling story to win.

"It won’t be easy," she said. "There are a lot of amazing moms out there, don’t you agree?"

Cooper & Binkley carries a wide selection of gifts for mom, including Simon G., HL Designs, Sara Blaine, Cheri Dori and Chamilia jewelry and Debbie Brooks purses. Through Sunday, the store will host a Mother's Day sale, and offer a free 8-piece box of Godiva chocolates with a purchase of $300 or more.
