Get Your Free Lemonade Snapple at 7-Eleven Plus More Tips for the Week Ahead

Here are five things to help fuel your week in Brighton.

It's Monday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in Brighton to help make your week a little brighter, easier and more fun.

7-Eleven is cooling you down with a free 16-ounce Snapple Lemon Daze beverage that will be handed out at participating stores nationwide in honor of National Lemonade Day on August 20, while supplies last.

2. For your health
Fresh vegetables, delicious recipes and healthy cooking tips from Chef Cathy will be on tap at the Brighton District Library Monday, August 19 from 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Join us for Cooking from the Garden with Chef Cathy Ferrara, owner of Supper Made Simple.

3. In the community
  • The 20th Annual Cruise In Car Show
On Monday, August 19 at Memories in Brighton, an event to benefit St. Joseph Mercy Livingston Home Care and Hospice will take place from 4 p.m. to dark and includes food, drink and prizes. For more information call 810-227-7230.

4. For the parents
On Tuesday, Bloom Baby & Kids will be hosting meal planning for toddlers. Learn to create simple, healthy dishes that your toddler will love eating and you will love watching them eat.

5. Save the date
On Wednesday, as part of the United Way Day of Caring, St. Joseph Mercy Livingston will hold a health fair with free screenings for skin cancer, blood pressure, hearing and BMI as well as free produce, a mature drivers course demo, chair massages, smoking cessation and depression and substance abuse support and more.
