Construction on the Episcopal Chuch of St. Paul, located at 200 W. St. Paul Street in Brighton begins August 18. Here are five things to know about the renovations, according to the church's website.
1. Worship for members of St. Paul will begin at St. Mary Magdalen on Sunday, July 21.
2. Construction on St. Paul's will begin in September and should be completed in June 2014 according to architect Jeff Smith from Professional Engineering Associates.
3. Regular Sunday services of worship will be 8 a.m. and 11 a.m.. During the program year, September through June, the Family Service will be held at 9 a.m.
4. The ground breaking for the new building will be held at 5 pm on Sunday August 18, 2013. Everyone is invited to attend this festive event. A picnic celebration will follow.
5. We have it on record from the contractor that we will be able to have our first worship service in our newly renovated and constructed building on Sunday June 1, 2014.
