Ribbon Cutting at Work Skills Corporation Plant II in Brighton

Ribbon Cutting at 10:00am

Work is the tool WSC uses to assess and train people, preparing them for employment in our communities. Production work at their Summit Street facility included heavy and loud operations which made it difficult for workers with sensory issues to concentrate. Modifications were made to accommodate these workers and quieter spaces were created for them, yet there was no room for additional opportunities. Over the summer, WSC made extensive capital improvements to the Weld Mold facility, where they had leased warehouse space for many years. Their heavy operations were relocated in the fall and Plant II is now up and running. Come and meet the staff at WSC and celebrate the opening of yet another facility! Refreshments will be served. Please register online at brightoncoc.org.
Time: 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Ribbon Cutting at 10:00
Location: 840 Rickett Road, Brighton 48116 (Turn onto Sisu Knoll, first street south of RR tracks on Rickett Road. First street off Sisu is Rita Ann – turn right. WSC is on the left.)
