Someone You Should Know: Pamela McConeghy

Editor's Note: If you consider yourself a Brighton booster, you've probably already met Pamela McConeghy, president and CEO of the Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce. The Genoa Township resident serves on several boards and volunteers with many local agencies. Because of her tireless efforts to support local business and the community, we think McConeghy is "Someone You Should Know."

Mission: The GBACC’s mission is to promote and maintain a favorable environment and quality of life for the business and professional members of the community.

Key to success: I believe that you must always have a positive attitude, no matter what adversities you may face. I also think that to be successful, you must be warm, friendly and inclusive. I enjoy envisioning and planning for the future of the chamber. I am a person who likes change and the opportunities that it brings.

A favorite book and why: My favorite book is the Bible. I’m reading it for the 11^th time, cover-to-cover. It helps to keep my steps from drifting to the right or the left – which they would do.

Favorite Brighton spot: I love Brighton’s downtown district. It has a small town charm with big city amenities.

In my next life I want to come back as ... If I believed in a second life on earth, my career would be in music – as some fantastic piano player. Since I believe in heaven after earth, I’ll be doing just that!
