Star Wars fans arrived through our doors like an asteroid storm that was out of this galaxy!! They were treated to a meet & greet with Illustrator Darrin Brege and Author Karen Brege. At their table kids were drawing a Jedi Academy comic and finding out about the Brege's children's book series, learn more about their books at Monster Myths.com.
fill up some time before the Jedi Knight demo and lessons began, parents helped their children with a Star Wars Trivia Scavenger Hunt, each location held a treat and trivia answer. As Yoda says, "READ and the Force is With You".
The best part of the day for me, was the look on the younger generation Star Wars fans, while they watched the Jedi demos and then pick out a lightsaber. It was completely priceless. We heard many of them leaving the store and saying,""This was the best day of my life!".
Instructors and students from Ring of Steel Action Theatre, joined us for a second year. They provided lightsabers for the audience and airbrush painting. They arrived in full Star Wars character and help to create a-close-as-you-can get Star Wars experience...well for our bookstore. Learn more about their classes and events at www.ringofsteel.org
Thank you to everyone who attended this annual event. We are already planning for next year's event...it's going to be a little bigger, a little better.
