“We invite you to leaf through the outstanding selection of books offered, choose a DVD to watch this fall, or listen to music that inspires you. Each purchase made helps the Friends by funding the many wonderful programs that the library runs and that you enjoy,” said Marsha Luetjen, President, Friends of the Brighton District Library.

Money raised at the sale goes toward important programs, equipment, and services at the Library, including the Summer Reading Program; Springfest; Holiday Open House; Livingston Reads; the Books for Babies Program; writer’s workshops; and movie licenses which allow the library to show films to the public. The book sales are the largest fundraisers that the Friends hold and the revenue is three times more than the State of Michigan provides to the library.
