The folks at NORAD are gearing up to chart Mr. Claus' Christmas Eve journey across the globe.

Southeast Michigan families wondering just what time Santa Claus will make his appearance locally can track the jolly old elfβs journey courtesy of NORAD.
The North American Aerospace Defense Command has announced it will once again put its technological prowess to use helping children all over the world keep up with Santaβs Christmas Eve ride. The NORAD Santa Tracker website is already up and running with a countdown clock ticking away the time until the big night arrives.

NORAD and its predecessor, the Continental Air Defense Command, have been tracking Santaβs movements since 1955, the agencyβs website says. That website also offers a number of activities, including games, movies, music and the βSecret Santa Filesβ to keep kids busy on Christmas Eve β and before.
