Trunk-or-Treat and More this Weekend

Patch is here to make your life ridiculously easy, so as you sit down today and plan your weekend, here are some events you should know about in the BrightonΒ area.

1. Truck-or-Treat

  • When: Friday, Oct. 25 starting at 6:30 p.m.
  • Where: Shepherd of the Lakes Church
  • What:Β Families bring goodies such as candy or small trinkets and park cars with trunks open and decorated.Β  Children β€œtrick-or-treat” to the open trunks and have some safe fall fun. All are welcome.
2.Β Boo Festival
  • When:Β Oct. 26 starting at 3 p.m.
  • Where:Β Green Oak Shopping Center
  • What:Β AΒ fun-filled Halloween event for children, complete with trick-or-treating. Trick-or-treating begins at 4 p.m. The book reading at Barnes & Noble also begins at 4 p.m. Seating times at Salsarita's are available at 3 p.m., 5 p.m., and 7 p.m. VisitΒ www.shopsatgreenoak.comΒ for more information.
3.Β Breast Cancer Fundraiser 2004 Rebels Hockey
  • When: Saturday, Oct. 26
  • Where:Β Kensington Valley Ice House in Brighton
  • What:Β The 2004 Kensington Valley Rebel Hockey team is joining in the fight against breast cancer.Β 
4. Halloween Partner Yoga
  • When: Friday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m.
  • Where: Yoga Center for Healthy Living
  • What:Β Best costume wins a prize (though, costumes aren't necessary). Double your Fun and Stretch in this relaxing, fun-filled class, as you share a mat w/a friend/loved one. LightΒ refreshments provided after class. Fun for all.
5.Β All Night Laser Tag
  • When:Β October 26 starting atΒ 11:45 p.m. toΒ October 27 atΒ 6 a.m.
  • Where: Brighton Zap Zone
    What: Unlimited laser tag including specialty games such as Capture the Bases, Protect the President and Defend the Towers. Tickets must be purchased in advance.Β
