• A Powerful El Niño Is Building. What Could It Mean for Washtenaw County This Winter? (thesuntimesnews.com) — Chelsea residents could see a milder, less snowy winter as a powerful El Niño strengthens in the Pacific, shifting odds toward warmer temperatures and more rain. The outlook also warns of more freeze-thaw cycles, potential pothole problems, trickier roads and sidewalks, and mixed impacts on outdoor recreation and local gardens, even though big snowstorms remain possible.
