Steel Magnolias is a gloriously funny and poignant play, set in fictional Chinquapin, Louisiana, in Truvy’s hair salon. The women in town regularly gather at Truvy’s, where they share life’s hardships and joys. Salon owner Truvy is helped by her eager new assistant, Annelle (who is not sure whether or not she is still married). Outspoken, wise-cracking Truvy dispenses shampoos and free advice to all, including the town’s rich curmudgeon, Ouiser. An eccentric millionaire, Miss Clairee, has a raging sweet tooth. And local social leader, M’Lynn, and her daughter, Shelby, prepare for Shelby’s impending marriage to a local “good ole boy.”

These women draw on their underlying strength and love, which give the play, and its characters, the special quality to make them truly touching, funny and marvelously amiable company in good times and bad.

Come and celebrate Mother’s Day weekend with these remarkably genuine and loving women in Steel Magnolias. Celebrate the special, undying love of mothers, daughters, and best friends by sharing this memorable experience with your own family. It’s a Mother’s Day gift you’ll remember forever.
