The Chelsea Area Garden Club will award a limited number of grants of $500 or less in 2014 to local nonprofit organizations or individuals for horticulture-related projects.

The club raises money for grants, scholarships and civic beautification through its annual plant sale. The plant sale will be held 8 a.m.-noon May 10 at a new location, the Washington Street Education Center, 500 Washington St. in Chelsea.
