Baker College veterinary technology grads hit 100 percent pass rate on national, state exams
Graduates achieved an average score of 573 on the VTNE, compared to the average score of 485 for all first-attempt candidates.

JACKSON, Mich. – Baker College of Jackson officials report that 100 percent of the 2015 veterinary technology graduates have passed the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE) and the Michigan licensing exam.
“These positive results testify to the hard work and perseverance of our students, and to the dedication of our faculty and staff in providing the skills and training necessary to succeed in the veterinary technology field,” said Steve Simpson, Ed.D., Baker College of Jackson president.

In Michigan, a graduate of an American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) accredited program must successfully pass the state and national board examinations to earn the designation of a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT).
In addition to private practice, potential career opportunities for licensed veterinary technicians include small and large animal hospitals, research, education, pharmaceuticals, zoos and the military.

The veterinary technology program at Baker College of Jackson is accredited by the AVMA Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities (CVTEA).
