• Boos and booze: Spooky bar menus and Halloween pop-ups around Detroit (bnd.com) — Clawson gets a shout-out in this roundup thanks to Weiss Distilling Co., which has transformed its 14 Mile speakeasy-style bar into the popular Halloweiss V Halloween experience with themed cocktails and reservations recommended on weekends. The guide also highlights spooky pop-ups and seasonal drink menus across Metro Detroit, from downtown horror-film bars to Royal Oak bowling cocktails and Wyandotte fright-night feasts. It's a handy list if you're planning adult Halloween outings.
• Lakeview sweeps Clawson, continues to march towards MAC Gold supremacy (theoaklandpress.com) — Clawson High's volleyball team was swept at home by St. Clair Shores Lakeview, which stayed unbeaten atop the MAC Gold while the Trojans fell to the middle of the pack. First-year Clawson coach Mackenzie Showalter praised Lakeview's consistency but noted an injury to key hitter Mallory Coatta hurt the Trojans' chances. Dana and Dani Moss led Clawson in kills during the straight-set loss.
