On Sunday, June 17 from 5 to 6 pm, Clawson resident Chris Profeta will be chatting with fans via Skype while signing copies of his debut novel, “Life in Pieces.”
Readers can purchase a copy of the book and participate in the signing at the author’s website, christopherprofeta.webs.com. The website will feature a Skype button which will connect readers directly to the author. In addition, readers can preorder a discounted copy of the book. Signed copies will be mailed out after the event.
Profeta says that online book signings are a rising trend in the publishing industry. “It’s something I've read a lot about but have never done before, so I’m really excited about it,” he says. “I’ve done in-store events at bookstores before, but I think this will be a different dynamic.”
