“Pi Day” – the Natural Mathematical Holiday – Calls for a Celebration of Pi-ing and Problem Solving at Walton Charter Academy

Walton Charter Academy students recently rang in “Pi Day” – the natural mathematical holiday – “pi”-ing their teachers! Fourth grader, Leelan Banta, won the prize for grades K-4 after memorizing 73 digits of pi, and seventh grader Dasha Childs, won the prize for grades 5-8 after memorizing 140 digits of pi. Kindergartener Carlos Acosta won the raffle to pie Principal Amy Ebling!
