On Monday evening, May 5,
at 7pm, Malika Newman, Board Chair of the Oakland County Community
Mental Health Authority will relate the Great Michigan Read book (Steve
Luxenburg's Annie's Ghost: A Journey into a Family Secret) to her own
journey from mental illness to recovery and discuss mental health
services now available. Please register for this free program in the
library or by phone beginning April 7 by calling 248-588-5500.
The
Great Michigan Read is presented by the Michigan Humanities Council
with support from Meijer and the National Endowment for the Arts.
