Bees Be Gone, Says Man Who Now Needs New Roof
You've heard of cutting off your nose to spite your face; how about burning the house to shoo away the bees?

In a battle against bees that had built a hive in his roof, an Oakland County homeowner may have been successful in getting them to buzz off Tuesday.
But he’s going to need, for starters, a new roof.
The Brandon Township Fire Department was dispatched to his home in the 100 block of Huff Lake Court at 2:20 p.m. Tuesday. It seems the homeowner, who was not identified, used a butane torch to zap the bees, igniting the insulation in his roof, according to a news release from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.
