Clawson Residents Approve School Bond
Clawson voters today (Tuesday, February 25, 2014) approved the district’s bond proposal to borrow $9.98 million for 20 years for classroom renovations, exterior projects, and safety and security upgrades. With 100 per cent of the precincts reporting, the bond passed 889 (67 percent) to 446 (33 percent).

“Thank you to the Clawson community for once again supporting our schools,” said Superintendent Monique Beels. “The voters recognized that the projects covered by the bond are needed to enhance our learning environment, student safety and security, and the condition of our schools and educational facilities.”

The bond will enhance both elementary schools, as well as the middle school, high school and Baker preschool center.
