Craving Sushi? Noble Fish's 5 Most Popular Rolls
A staple in downtown Clawson, Noble Fish always seems to be busy and these five rolls just might have something to do with why.
Not too long ago, sushi was an exotic dish in most parts of the U.S. The few, small sushi restaurants that existed only served a niche market. The idea of eating raw meat didn't fly with us westerners.
But today, thanks to some very popular raw, meatless rolls like the California Roll, sushi has become a household term and eating raw fish is, for lack of a better word, normal. Sushi bars are popping up on busy corners and downtown areas, some with multiple locations within blocks of each other.
is downtown Clawson's favorite purveyor of sushi with many styles of rolls ready to go in the refrigerators of the Japanese grocer section in the front of the store or made-to-order rolls in the small sushi bar in the back; all of the rolls are made fresh everyday on premises.

Though they offer many different types, here are Noble Fish's five most popular rolls, according to manager Takayuki (Guchi) Sakaguchi.
- Michigan Roll - tuna, spicy sauce, cucumber, avocado and romaine lettuce
- Spicy Salmon Special Roll - raw sushi-grade salmon, imitation crab, avocado, cucumber, romaine lettuce, green onion, spicy sauce and sesame seeds
- Spicy Shrimp Special Roll - shrimp, avocado, spicy sauce, cucumber, green onion and romaine lettuce
- California Special Roll - snow crab mixed with imitation crab, avocado, cucumber and Japanese mayonnaise (milder than the spicy sauce)
- Crazy Eel Roll - Sriracha sauce (very spicy), BBQ eel, deep fried tempura powder (crunch) and avocado
All of these sushi rolls are wrapped in seaweed and rice.
