Deputies: Adult store patron left kids in car alone

Deputies say a Spring Hill woman left two young kids in a car while she shopped at an adult novelty store.

Saturday evening, deputies say they found a 3-year-old and a 1-year-old locked in a vehicle in the parking lot of the Todd Adult Superstore on U.S. 19. They said he children had been inside the locked and running vehicle for 20 minutes with no supervision.

Deputies went into the store to investigate. Ke'ala O Kea Kua Morgan Crocker allegedly admitted that she left the two kids in the vehicle while she and a friend were shopping. She called it a stupid mistake, but believed that the children would be OK.

The children were indeed unharmed, but Crocker, 22, was charged with two counts of child neglect and two counts of leaving a child unattended in a vehicle.
