Due to recent snow and rain, the 2nd Annual Catalpa Oaks Marshmallow Drop scheduled for
10 a.m. on Friday, April 22 has been modified.
Instead of collecting marshmallows dropped from a helicopter, Oakland County residents can drive into the parking lot to collect treat bags for their children from 10-11 a.m.
“The soccer fields where the event was to take place are too muddy, and with inclement weather predicted for Friday there is even more of a safety concern with the helicopter,” Executive Officer Dan Stencil said. “Youngsters can still get the treat bags they would have collected during the event and we invite families back to Catalpa Oaks County Park this summer for our other special events including a kite festival and outdoor concerts.”
