This Sunday Luke’s story of Easter continues as we join the distraught disciples on the road to Emmaus (Luke 24:13-35). The First Lesson is Colossians 3:1-4. The Psalmody is Psalm 103:1-14.
April 14, Stephen proclaims the Risen Lord in his serving, his preaching and his death. The First Lesson tells part of Stephen’s ministry and martyrdom (Acts 6:1-14, 7:51-60). The Psalmody is Psalm 24. The Gospel reading (Luke 17:1-10) gathers some sayings of Jesus on sin, faith and humble service.
