Make a canned good donation to any participatingΒ FirstMerit BankΒ location by FridayΒ and get free admission intoΒ Arts, Beats & Eats, the Labor Day weekend festival in downtown Royal Oak.

FirstMerit Bank is partnering withΒ Gleaners Community Food BankΒ of Southeastern Michigan in an effort to raise awareness of the hunger relief initiative.

Thousands of pounds of food for those in need in the region are expected to be generated from the campaign, which is in itsΒ fourth year of partnership with the festival, according to theΒ Arts, Beats & Eats website.

Every three cans of food donated earns aΒ free admission coupon.
