One of the most unique attributes, though, is the large wall in the front of the store dedicated to every flavor of Jelly Belly jelly beans imaginable from Cappucino, Cantaloupe and Tutti-Fruitti to even chocolate-covered Jelly Bellies. Similarly, there's also a section in the back of the store for picking out one-of-a-kind colorful M&M pieces.
If you’ve got a sweet tooth like me, Doc Sweets' has got you covered.
On the day I ventured into Doc Sweets', I was feeling a little chocolate crazy. Needless to say, in my own personal goody bag, I hand-selected a candy mix of chocolate graham wafers, chocolate-covered peanut clusters, chocolate-covered gummy bears (really good, actually!), yogurt-covered cranberries and chocolate-covered almonds, all of which cost me just $4.
Perhaps those excellent prices combined with the wide selection is why Doc Sweets' has won many local awards and recognitions over the years by The Best of Detroit by Hour Magazine, WDIV’s Vote 4 the Best and The Daily Tribune Reader’s Choice.
So, the next time you’re craving a sugar fix or just want to relive your childhood days, visit Doc Sweets' and live by the shop's motto that a visit there is like "being a kid again... only sweeter".
