IN BRIEF: Clawson Baseball and Softball Pairings for Districts
Both Trojans teams play Pontiac Academy for Excellence in opening round on Saturday.
The Clawson varsity baseball and softball teams are set for their district playoff match-ups and they will both be playing the same school on Saturday to start the tournament off.
In Division 3 on the boys side, the Trojans will play Pontiac Academy For Excellence at New Haven. The game starts 30 minutes after Madison Heights Bishop Foley plays Mt. Clemens at 11 a.m. Bishop Foley beat New Haven in a pre-district game last week 27-0 in three innings to set up the other semifinal.
The winners of each semifinal play on Saturday night after the conclusion of the second game.

Pontiac Academy of Excellence is also the girls’ opponent in Division 3. Clawson plays the Pontiac girls at New Haven on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. The winner of that semifinal will play the winner of Bishop Foley and Mt. Clemens. Finals of the district will also be held Saturday night after the completion of the second game.
