“The decision we, as County Commissioners, will make on October 8th will impact for generations to come. It is imperative that we get input from the people of Oakland County in hearings that commissioners will be having in their local communities. This is also an important health, safety and welfare issue for our families,” stated Oakland County Commissioner Robert Gosselin, who serves as chairman of the Oakland County Detroit Water and Sewerage Department Study Group.

Sharing the same sentiment, Oakland County Commissioner Mike Bosnic, who is the vice chairman of the Oakland County Board of Commissioners Detroit Water Sewerage Study Group, stated “The Great Lakes Water Authority vote is one of the biggest issues to ever come before the board. The ongoing discussions about the water and sewer system including ratepayers’ rights have plagued the region for decades. Now, we have an opportunity to right the ship and that is why I want the public to have input and know all the facts before I take a vote.”

The public is encouraged to come ready to participate as this will be an interactive session with county leadership.
