Snow on Halloween in Clawson? What's Ahead for the Rest of the Week

A change is blowing into southeast Michigan that some may consider ghoulish.

You knew it was coming.

Temperatures will begin filling tonight and snow flurries could fill the skies by Halloween, according to to the National Weather Service. It’s not as scary as it could be, with the forecast calling for only a dusting to a half inch.

Here’s the forecast for the rest of the week for the Detroit metro area:

Tuesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9 a.m,, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., then a chance of showers after 3 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 66. South southwest wind 14 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tuesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 44. West southwest wind 10 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 51. West wind 11 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Wednesday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 38.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 51.

Thursday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41.

Friday: A chance of rain and snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 47.

Friday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 29.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 42.

Saturday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 31.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 45.
