Space Limited, Reservations Required: Buy Tickets Now for Oakland Uncorked

Some of the county’s best local restaurants will offer culinary and fine wine tastings at Oakland Uncorked from 7-10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, at the Oakland County Market.

The event features local restaurants offering samples of their best recipes. Local distributors will pour vineyards’ finest for wine tasting. Live entertainment includes jazz with world-renowned bassist Miles Brown and his quartet.

Oakland County Parks and Recreation is partnering with the Clarkston SCAMP and Waterford Area Chamber of Commerce to present this event. Additional sponsors include The Oakland Press, Genisys Credit Union, Ideas for You, Antina Promotions, Pinot’s Palette and Oakland Community College.

Restaurant participants include Benny’s, Cacao Tree Café, Dorsey Schools Culinary Academy, Downtown 51, BD’s Mongolian Barbecue, Stand Gastro Bistro, Rangoli, Blue Grill Mediterranean Fresh, Red Wood Grill, it - Irish Tavern, LA Cafe, Highland House and Oak Management.

Cost is $45/person, age 21 and older only. Space is limited and reservations are required. Portions of the proceeds benefit Clarkston SCAMP, a five week summer day camp for children and young adults with special needs. SCAMP provides recreational and social opportunities under the supervision of highly trained staff.

The market is open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 7 a.m.-1:30 p.m. The Oakland County Market is located at 2350 Pontiac Lake Road in Waterford.
