Sports Brief: Clawson Baseball Defeats East Detroit
Trojans Justin Smith, David Harlukowicz and Matt Pike led the team to victory Monday.
The varsity baseball team (10-3; 4-1 Macomb Area Conference Silver) didn’t let a little rain bother it Monday in an 11-1 five inning win over East Detroit.
“We started off slow at the plate,” assistant coach Scott Weaver said. “The bats got hot in the fifth, scoring eights runs to finish the game.”
Justin Smith (3-0) pitched a complete game. He gave up one hit and struck out six batters. David Harlukowicz was 3-for-4 and Matt Pike 2-for-3.
