Whiz Kid of the Week: Julio Chris Lee

Clawson Middle school student wins Michigan PTSA writing award.

Accomplishment: Lee won the Award of Merit from the Michigan Parent Teacher Student Association for his literature entry. He has also participates in football, basketball, wrestling, Peer Mediators and was a semi-finalist in a school-wide speech competition.

Key to awesomeness: There were 1,400 entries submitted in the Michigan PTSA literature competition and Lee was one of three middle school students to receive the award.

Lee, of Southfield, also has written two books as part of a series in the fantasy/action/adventure genre that he may seek out a publisher for, but if not, he hopes to self-publish.

He also participates in his youth group at Christian Love Tabernacle and runs one of the church's television camera during live broadcasts. The 8th grader is debating a college degree in either computer programming or architecture.
