Worker Cracks Case of Bank Manager's Bathroom Spy Cam

Manager allegedly admitted to police he wanted "video of 'his girls' at the bank" as they used the restroom.

A Michigan man is accused of hiding a camera so he could spy on workers as they used the employee restroom at the Mount Pleasant bank branch where he was the manager.

David Prawdzik, 55, of Clare will be arraigned Aug. 21 on charges of capturing/distributing an image of an unclothed person, tampering with evidence, eavesdropping and using a computer to commit a crime, the Detroit Free Press reports.

Prawdzik, the branch manager at the Chemical Bank branch in Mount Pleasant, allegedly admitted to police he began planting cameras a few weeks ago “to capture video of ‘his girls’ at the bank,” according to an affidavit filed with the criminal complaint against Prawdzik, The Morning Sun reports. Police arrested Prawdzik, who had worked at the bank for 33 years, Thursday after an employee found the camera hidden in a toilet paper roll stashed at the rear of the toilet stall.

The employee and other co-workers showed the camera Prawdzik, who reportedly “became quite distressed and threw the camera in the toilet,” according to the affidavit.

When he was made his initial court appearance Friday, Isabella County Trial Magistrate Sandra Straus, Prawdzik said he likely wouldn’t be employed by the bank “after today.” Citing his probable job loss and concern about his mental state, Straus set his bond at 10 percent of $50,000.
