Teen Critical After Stabbed in the Heart in Large Fight: Police
Teen who was stabbed required emergency open-heart surgery, the Roseville Police Department said.

ROSEVILLE, MIβ A 16-year-old Roseville teen required open-heart surgery and is critical condition after he was stabbed in a large fight at Roseville's Veterans Memorial Park around 9 p.m. Monday. Several dozen people were involved in the fight that police said prompted "several calls" from.
The crowd scattered when police arrived, and authorities found the 16-year-old lying on the ground near the gazebo area of the park with a stab wound to his upper chest, according to a statement released Tuesday by the Roseville Police Department.
It's unclear what the argument that started the fight was about, police said.

The victim was rushed by paramedics to an area hospital, where he underwent emergency open-heart surgery to repair the damage caused by the stabbing, police said.
The victim gave police the name of a 15-year-old teen who allegedly stabbed him, and he was arrested "without further incident" at his home about a half-hour later, according to the release.

The 15-year-old is currently in custody at the Macomb Youth Home awaiting arraignment Tuesday on a charge of attempted murder.
The Macomb County Prosecutorβs Office will determine if the teen will be charged as an adult.
