CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — Clinton Township's Naked Burger abruptly closed down last week, according to an Instagram post.
Officials with the restaurant said they plan to shift their focus toward Patty and Press, which is their smash burger joint in Shelby Township.
However, they said this is not the end of Naked Burger, adding they plan to open a new location sometime in the future.
"We don't have a place or timeline to share just yet, but when the time is right, we'll be back," reads the post.
Naked Burger, located at 43203 Garfield Rd. in Clinton Township, opened in 2020 just before the COVID-19 pandemic.
The restaurant was best known for its grass-fed beef and unique burgers.
Its truffle burger, which featured patties topped with truffle, caramelized onions, arugula, parmesan crisp and aioli, won the "People's Choice" award at the Burger Battle in Eastern Market in 2022.
The burger spot also served chicken sandwiches, salads, milkshakes, beer and wine.
Patch has reached out to restaurant officials for more details about the closing and its future plans.
