Baker College of Clinton Township is a beneficiary of annual Rotary 'Spring Zing,' May 3
CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Baker College of Clinton Township is one of eight organizations that will share proceeds from the 2014 Spring Zing, an annual community fundraising event hosted by the Rotary Club of Mt. Clemens, Saturday, May 3. The college will match the donation and use the funds for student scholarships.
“Funds garnered through this fun, community event will assist students in obtaining the education needed to prepare for their chosen careers,” said Donald R. Torline, president of Baker College of Clinton Township. “Making education accessible to more people is also integral to Michigan’s future success as we transition to a knowledge-based economy. We’re pleased and honored by the Rotarians’ continued support.”
In total, donations from previous Spring Zing events coupled with Baker’s matching dollars have made more than $30,000 available for Baker College scholarships.
