Bold Robber Holds Up Armored Car At Clinton Twp. 7-Eleven: Police

An armed robber held up an armored vehicle at a Clinton Township convenience store around noon Thursday, police said.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — An armed gunman got away with “a large sum of money” after he held up an armored car guard at a 7-Eleven store in Clinton Township just after noon Thursday, police said. The suspect, a 29-year-old Mount Clemens man, was taken into custody later Thursday.

The suspect hasn’t been named pending arraignment in 41-B District Court on Monday, Aug. 14, police said. The suspect approached the armored car driver at the 7-Eleven store at 37335 Harper about 12:30 p.m. and took the money at gunpoint, according to a Clinton Township Police Department news release. Evidence related to the robbery was located and recovered, police said.
