This spring's Adult Field Trip will be to The Parade Company in Detroit! Venture into magical ParadeLand and experience a behind-the-scenes look at America’s Thanksgiving Parade. Learn more about the Parade’s fascinating history and explore the 200,000 square-foot storyland of floats.
We will meet at the library and depart at 9:15 am sharp. Tickets are $10 per person. This is an adults-only excursion.
We will be hosting two field trips to The Parade Company. Please select June 6th or June 13th when signing up at the library.

Meet our newly hatched fuzzy babies! Kids will have the chance to gently pet the babies and learn about their life cycle and care. After the program, they will be safely sent to their permanent homes. A sweet, hands-on experience for animal lovers of all ages.
All ages welcome. Adult supervision &amp; registration required.

Calling all chefs, amateur cooks, book lovers, and all of the above! Join our new cookbook book club - Read It and Eat! Here’s what to do:
<ol><li>Reserve your recipe in our selected cookbook at the front desk. This month’s cookbook is My Mexican Kitchen by Eva Longoria. One recipe can be reserved per attendee. Registration for this club is in-person only for this reason.</li><li>Take a photo of the recipe or help yourself to one free copy at the front desk.</li><li>Prepare the dish and bring it to share with the group on Wednesday, May 27th at 6:00 p.m. We will take turns discussing the recipes, providing feedback, and listening to others' experiences. No need to bring utensils or plates - just bring yourself and the food you made!</li></ol>
Please be advised that food tasting is at your own risk. We will have copies of the recipes, but please note beforehand if you made any changes to the dish, and have the additional ingredients you used written down if possible. If you have any severe food allergies, please make them known to staff beforehand. Please note that alcoholic beverages are not allowed at the library. Thank you.
