Clinton Township Gives LUV to Nail Salon on Gratiot
LUV Manicures and Pedicures, with locations across Metro Detroit, offers a variety of services, including facials, waxing and massages.
LUV Manicures and Pedicures in Clinton Township has become a go-to destination for those seeking to indulge in a relaxing break from the daily grind.
Sales jumped during the summer at the full-service salon, store manager Amanda Floyd said. LUV opened in August 2011 at 33900 Gratiot Ave., near the Target store at Quinn Road.
“It’s just a matter of everyone learning that we’re here,” Floyd said. “I think (business) has been pretty good and it definitely has increased.”

LUV offers a classic manicure and pedicure for $30. The services include nail shaping, cuticle care, polish and hydrating hand and foot treatments.
“It’s a really relaxing, fun place for people to come in or for groups of girls to come in and enjoy mani-pedis together,” Floyd said. “It’s a great atmosphere.”

Although the salon specializes in hand and foot care, additional services include:
- Nufree hair removal services
- Facials
- Glycolic peels, used to exfoliate skin and reduce fine lines and wrinkles
- Swedish massages
- Deep tissue massages
- Group packages
“It is state of the art--big and roomy and really relaxing,” Floyd added. “I think it’s different from any other nail salon.”
She said the nail technicians put their best foot forward in customer care.
“We have a really good group of nail techs here with really great personalities who are really great with the clients,” she said. “The girls here are what make the place special; they really know how to take care of the clients and build relationships with them.”
LUV technicians are trained and qualified; all are certified by the Michigan State Board of Cosmetology or have earned their nail tech license, Floyd noted.
Michigan LUV locations include Ann Arbor, Canton, Farmington Hills, Grand Rapids, Livonia, Rochester Hills, Royal Oak and Shelby Township.
