Owing to their success at the southeast corner of Hall Road and Romeo Plank, this great location was selected as one of only a handful in the entire chain to receive a remodeling upgrade. Open for only four years management saw a need based on customer input to enhance the shopping experience of their many customers, and while there were many upgrades, one of the most prominent is their self-checkout area that is a real crowd-pleaser to many of their regular shoppers. With a host of employees, local and regional management, dignitaries including Clinton Twp. Supervisor Bob Cannon, on the scissors with Store Manager Dean Genore, Market Manager Bernie Dave, shoppers and the Sterling Heights Regional Chamber Ambassadors, the ribbon was cut officially opening the newly upgraded store. The National Anthem was sung by Chippewa Valley High Students, remarks by Walmart managers and Supervisor Cannon, and generous "oversize" checks were presented to the Clinton Twp. Police Dept. represented by Chief Fred Posavetz, Fire Dept. represented by Chief John Shea, and Chippewa Valley High School represented by Assistant Principal Tony Fiorvento.
