Head-On Collision Between Trucks Leaves Both Drivers Dead

A head-on collision between two trucks Saturday morning on 29 Mile Road in Ray Township left both drivers dead, according to a Macomb Daily report.

A 2006 GMC flatbed truck traveling westbound on 29 Mile crossed the center line and hit a 2012 Freightliner box truck going eastbound, the report stated. The flatbed also hit a utility pole and became tangled in electrical wires, the report added. Michigan State Police also were trying to determine if there was a passenger in the flatbed, according to the report.

The identities of the drivers was being withheld until families were notified, the report stated.
