L’Anse Creuse MS Students Put Together Packages For Troops in Kuwait

From L'Anse Creuse Public Schools: Students and staff at L’Anse Creuse Middle School – North are putting together care packages to be sent to soldiers currently serving in Kuwait.

Terry Bond, a Middle School – North teacher and retired captain of the US Air Force Reserves, initiated this project because she knows firsthand how encouraging it can be to receive items from home while deployed in an unfamiliar place. Under her leadership and in collaboration with the National Junior Honor Society, Student Council, and Yearbook Club, the school collected over 4,000 items. Students and staff members then packed each box with a combination of hygiene, entertainment and snack items. Any leftover items will be donated to the VA Hospital in downtown Detroit.
