Macomb College's Clinton Township Campus Evacuated
A student using the men's restroom said he heard another man loading a gun clip.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — Macomb Community College closed its Center Campus in Clinton Township Wednesday after an individual using a restroom heard a someone in the next stall loading a gun clip around 11:30 a.m., according to media reports.
Macomb College campus police said there was no immediate threat, but the campus, located on Garfield Road, south of Hall Road, in Clinton Township., was closed as a precaution around. The witness who provided the report didn't see a gun, WXYZ-TV reported. Jeanne Nicol, a spokeswoman for the school, told WWJ/CBS Detroit students and staff were alerted by a mass text message and asked to evacuate the campus around 4:30 p.m.
Campus police are investigating.

The campus is expected to reopen as scheduled for classes on Thursday. Updates will be posted on the school website. Students are asked to report anything suspicious to call Center Campus police at (586) 286-2123.
