Macomb County Woman Arrested In Fatal I-94 Hit-And-Run Crash: Police

HARPER WOODS, MI — A Clinton Township woman was arrested in connection to a Tuesday night hit-and-run crash in Harper Woods that left one person dead, according to Michigan State Police.

Police said a 23-year-old Roseville man was on the right shoulder of eastbound Interstate 94 near Vernier Road trying to change a flat tire at 10:22 p.m. when the woman crashed into him and his vehicle, killing him.

The woman then ran away on foot after the crash, police said.

Harper Woods Police captured the 25-year-old woman after a brief foot chase, officials said. Police said she injured an officer and bit a state trooper during the chase.

Police requested a warrant for a blood draw, as officials pursue charges in connection to the fatal crash against the Clinton Township woman.

Officials were still investigating the crash.
